Established in 2024, Barks and Recreation was created to help dog guardians better understand, connect, and thrive with their dogs.

At the helm of Barks and Recreation is Jenna Slutzky, a certified dog trainer with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. As a Family Dog Mediator, a graduate of The Karen Pryor Academy, and a certificate holder from the University of Washington's Applied Animal Behavior program, Jenna brings a multifaceted skill set to her business. Her credentials also include being a Fear Free Certified Professional and teaching Pet First Aid & CPR thru PetTech.
With a decade of experience managing daycare and boarding facilities, complemented by seven additional years of training clients both in their homes and in facility, Jenna's extensive background ensures the highest standards of care and training for your canine companions at Barks and Recreation.
